Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi)
Raksha
Bandhan (Rakhi) is of Hindu culture in which sister band Rakhi on the hand of
brother. This festival is done on the day of full moon of the month of shrawan.
In the Raksha Bandhan sister and brother wish good for each other long life,
happiness and goodwill. This shows love and affection by a sister to her
brother. In this festivals sister pray long life for her brother whereas in
return give Rakhi gifts and promise to care lifelong.
Hindu
has a traditional belief that this Rakhi is iron chain that binds brother and
sister with having a good relationship. This Rakshya bandhan is also a bond of
protection. In this day brother give a promise to protect her from harms and
difficulty. There is n historical example that rakhi is been a ‘raksha’ which
means Protection. Rakhi means the protection or binding of sister was leading. There
is a ancient belief in the Hindu culture that at the ancient time of Mahabharat
when Lord Krishna killed the king Shishupal. Lord Krishna was wonden in the and
have a bledding in the finger of hand in which Draupathi torn a strip of the
cloth from her sari and tied on the figure of Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna speaks
out himself having a sister and probism to repay the debt to her. After many
year when Pandavas lost Draupathi in dice game Kaurava decided to remove her
sari but with the help of Krishna they could not remove her sari.
Rakshya
Bandhan is a festival in which brother and sister express perfect love or
affection in traditional manner.
